Today.
For anyone who needs to find scholarships or colleges go to cappex.com. It's the best scholarship search aid I've tried and I've tried a fair few.
I've been learning Italian on Livemocha. Before my mom gave me a Livemocha package for Christmas I was all like "Eww there's only two ways to learn a language: in the classroom or submerged in it, around native speakers. And I'm not even sure about the classroom." (I'm a total language snob) but now I can't believe how successful online language courses have been for me. I'd suggest Livemocha to anyone and if you're in the market for learning a language let me know and I'll message you about it!
I like yoga. Especially this class. Namaste.
I want to start training for a 10k but I'm not really sure where to begin. Any advice?
I think about what I want to major in all the time. I know I want it to be a language of some sort (or a combination thereof-Wilson only offers French and Spanish, but WWC is partnered with UNC Asheville for students who wish to study other languages. In my dreams I would pick Hebrew or Hindu...we'll see) but I also want to study anthropology, religious studies, or sociology...but I also want to graduate in four years. I'll figure it out.
I'm almost definitely going to run XC at Wilson. I just need to stop farting around and, ya know, go for a run. Maybe I should start reading running blogs again.
Speaking of blogs, here are my favorites, lately: Today's Letters and Girl Meets Life. They're both just super cool women. Boys beware.
I've decided that this summer I'd like to visit the Washington D.C Zoo (for like the four billionth time) and some monuments and museums and go see Matthew in Connecticut for a few days because I'm his sister and reserve the right impose myself upon his home whenever I well choose. Sike, I would just really like to see New England in the summertime and my brother.
I feel so blessed to have found the College and Careers Sunday School class at Lighthouse, it's filled with such loving and caring people.
This Friday my family a semi-annual-that-actually-never-happens-game-night. My mom is really excited about it. So am I, but I'm also praying we're all still friends afterwards.
Only 17 more wake-ups, two more Sundays, and seven more days of work until I cross the Atlantic again. It's going to be harder to leave this time.
Ciao amici!! Enjoy the rest of your weekend, and stay warm :)
