This post was inspired by inability to convey how I pack in the conventional manner, some posts from facebook, an e-mail I received from a Maryland Senator, and the energy surge from a mid-afternoon cup of coffee.
It's also important to note that while reading this you should imagine me as a politician running for office.
If you'd like to post comment on it like you're a reporter from the Huffington Post or some big gig like that I'd totes be cool with that.
My packing plan for Italy 2013, of which I support strongly, is comprehensive, robust, and decisive and contains five parts:
First, I will obtain a box. The size of the box is important. It cannot be too large as that would cause undue excess in materials and spending--and I want to assure you now that practicality and tactful budget practices are aspects I strive for in my day to day life. However, the box cannot be too small because that may lead to a lack of preparation in my future endeavors and things of that nature are certainly unacceptable.
Alright, now I have the box. It is of medium size.
Second, now I must fill the box. This process will be executed precisely and timely. Clothes should be inserted in the box the order in which they will be worn. Also, I will keep full awareness on how much space each article occupies while I fill the box as this action will prove to be a clear indicator of how much will fit in the box--and I want to assure you now that maximizing my means to the highest efficiency is a value I practice as often as possible.
The box is now appropriately filled.
Third, now I must seal the box. Securing and ensuring future safety of my goods holds high priority when packing. Some may say "Oh let the system take care of it" but I do not subscribe to that willy-nilly-loosey-goosey-hippie-dippie mindset. How I respond to those kind of comments is with a strong and resolute "No! I will do the job myself the first time it is put in my charge and I will do it well." And by well I mean, for clarity is key, to cover all visible surface area with duct tape. This is the only way to seal a box.
The box is now appropriately sealed.
Fourth, now I must address the box. Confusion in this matter will be avoided at all costs. The sender, I, will legibly write my name, home mailing address, town, state, and zip code in the top left hand corner of the proportionately appropriate chosen label. (Like boxes labels should be chosen based on size and given use at the present moment). I chose a medium sized label for my medium sized box. Before proceeding with my comprehensive, robust, and decisive message on packing I want to assure you now that functionality and purpose in mind are values I work hard towards in my day to day life. Now to return to labeling. After the sender's package's place of origin is accurately inscribed on the label I write the recipient's name, home mailing address, town, state, and zip code in the middle of the label in big, bold letters. When the recipient receives the package I want him or her to know I value them and our postal interaction. I have found, in my extensive postal experience, nothing says "I care" better than a bright, fresh label.
Now the box is well labeled.
Fifth, and finally, I will mail the package with mission in focus. My mission being, constantly and consistently, to mail with ease, timeliness, and pleasantry. Ease is achieved by keeping an open mind in regards to my mailing possibilities and costs--be that the standard or priority. I succeed in timeliness by making sure to visit the mailing depository during operating business hours--never during the one-hour lunch break as that would decrease, not maximize, my productivity. And I want to assure you now, as I have yet to do so in this area, that being productive ranks in my top five values regarding my daily routine. Pleasantry is key to postal interaction because, as I strive for kindness with all, I take greater pains to do so with those whom I pay to mail my goods. I consider this an aspect of fiscal responsibility. (If you require an explanation of my commitment to frugality refer now to paragraph one.
The package has now been successfully shipped.
In conclusion, the previous is my comprehensive, robust, and decisive packing plan for Italy 2013. Any further updates will being posted in the fashion of this first article.
Thank you for your time and see you at the polls!
