I could write a whole book about how I feel about school, but right now it's Monday night and per usual I've got bad jokes to tell:
RIGHT NOW IN REAL TIME, you can watch a titan arum open for the first time in several years at the U.S. Botanical Gardens. My favorite tid-bit from the article is the definition of the titan: "The renown of the titan arum comes from its great size--it's reputed to have the largest known inflorescence in the plant kingdom (which is not quite the same has having the largest "flower" in the world)." I love big things like this, like meteors and other natural, bizarre, and/or rare occurrences.
I also rediscovered Leeroy Jenkins this week. It's classic.
In other, non-nerdy news my Aunt Patti made vegan cake and cupcakes that are worth eating half the pan for just for the icing. Like, ohmehgoodness we're going to the beach tomorrow the bikini gods are going to smell the indulgence on our breath. Just stop...but please--make more cupcakes.
Not much news on my end, but I've got a busy week ahead and have gotten a productive start to it. I hope you can say the same!
