It was hawt and some of the animals weren't out but the company was great and the animals we did see were certainly worth the travel.

The day before I went to the zoo I received a call from work letting me know that I didn't have to go into work at all due to the short week and a few other things going on at the plant so I embraced my impromptu mini vacation with great zeal! Starting on Monday I started packing for college. This...was a task. My room is full of 18 years worth of belongings that can't all go with me to school. My mom was crucial in helping me decide what to keep, give away, throw away, and just hold onto a little longer because ya never know. By Friday when I found space for my books on my shelves again and went to go put away my laundry I realized I have very little left to pack which is both exciting and sad. I've packed binders, my book bag, desk essentials, room essentials, non-essentials that I've deemed essential, recreational things, winter clothes, and what little jewelry I actually wear. What's left are the clothes I can't pack yet because nakedness is frowned upon in the general community, shoes, and the few items I still need to purchase. totes megotes cray.
Other than packing however, my week away from work included: attempting to get a tan, shopping, blueberry picking, washing, and freezing, baking, visiting a junk yard for the first time, swimming, delicious food, and wonderful family.
On Independence Day morning my Aunt Patti and I visited Walnut Springs Farm. We picked loads of blueberries. I loved it so much. I took off my shoes and picked for a long time barefoot. If you've never visited the Farm I suggest you do within the next two weeks to get blueberries. They're the best I've had this season, and the least inexpensive for that matter.
